RESUMEN

Background Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) are one of the major occupational health problems in the world. Pharmaceutical industry is an important part of China's national economy. At present, there are few related studies reported at home and abroad. Objective To investigate the status and influencing factors of WMSDs in chemical pharmaceutical industry. Methods A cross-sectional epidemiological survey was conducted among all workers from three chemical pharmaceutical enterprises in Guangzhou. The Musculoskeletal Disorders Questionnaire was used to collect information on demographic characteristics, symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders, types of work, work organization, and and work postures. Multiple logistic regression method was used to analyze the risk factors of WMSDs in chemical pharmaceutical workers. Results In this study, 563 workers were selected as subjects. The total prevalence rate of WMSDs symptoms in the chemical pharmaceutical workers was 43.9% (247/563), and the leading body part-specific prevalence rate from high to low was 34.3% in the lower back, 24.3% in the upper back, 24.0% in the shoulders, and 23.8% in the neck. The prevalence rate of WMSDs symptoms in multiple body parts (30.0%) was 2.16 times higher than that in single body part (13.9%), and the prevalence rate of WMSDs symptoms in four body parts was the highest (11.4%). The results of multiple logistic regression analysis showed that age ≥50 years (reference age <30 years) (OR=2.140, 95%CI: 1.054-4.345), often or very often (reference never/rarely) long-time head rotating (OR=2.695, 95%CI: 1.753-4.142) and long-time keeping arms above shoulders (OR=1.902, 95%CI: 1.108-3.265) increased the risk of reporting WMSDs symptoms (P<0.05). Regarding education level, workers with high school and technical secondary school (OR=0.333, 95%CI: 0.175-0.636) or college and above (OR=0.413, 95%CI: 0.216-0.790) education had a lower risk of reporting WMSDs symptoms than those with middle school or below (P<0.05). Conclusion The prevalence rate of reporting WMSDs symptoms in chemical pharmaceutical industry is high, the involving body parts are lower back, upper back, shoulders, and neck, and reporting simultaneous occurrence of WMSDs symptoms in multiple body parts is common. The chemical pharmaceutical manufacturers can reduce the risk of WMSDs by strengthening the training on workers' ergonomics knowledge, paying attention to the less educated personnel, protecting the elderly workers, and avoiding awkward work postures, like rotating head for a long time and raising arms over shoulders.

RESUMEN

Objective To investigate the cerebral blood flow in migraine without aura with three-dimensional arterial spin labeling technology .Methods From January 2013 to February 2016, magnetic resonance perfusion imaging was operated in 20 migraine patients without aura and 20 healthy controls by using arterial spin labeling, to determine their regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) during migraine attacks and attack-free period. The significant difference was analyzed in rCBF between the two groups .Results The rCBF was significantly lower at the headache side during migraine period ( ( 52.77 ±5.97 ) ml? 100 g-1? min-1 ) than symmetrical side in the migraine patients without aura ((62.72 ±6.65) ml? 100 g-1?min-1 , t=3.780,P<0.01).The rCBF of temporosphenoid lobe in headache side in the migraine patients without aura ((53.97 ±5.87) ml? 100 g-1? min-1) was significantly lower than corresponding region in the control group ((59.21 ±2.35) ml? 100 g-1? min-1, t=4.449, P=0.001).And no significant difference in rCBF was found in migraine patients without aura under attack-free period. Conclusions Three-dimensional arterial spin labeling could quantitatively analyze the cerebral blood flow .Monitoring the perfusion difference in migraine patients could provide some references in the pathogenesis research and therapy.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE:To study the effects of flow components C6 and C7 in n-butyl alcohol extract from the leaves of Ces-trum Nocturnum(CN)on the proliferation and apoptosis of human gastric cancer cell SGC7901. METHODS:C6 and C7 were ob-tained by using different ratio of chloroform and methanol(1:9,1:7)to the gradient elution of CN leaves. After cultured with 0 (blank control),5,10,20,40,80 μg/ml C6 and C7 for 72 h,inhibitory effect of C6 and C7 on the proliferation of SGC7901 was determined by MTT assay. Inhibitory rate and IC50 were calculated. After SGC7901 were cultured with 10 μg/ml C6 and C7 for 72 h,colony formation assay was utilized to detect the effects of C6 and C7 on the cell colony formation, and the rate of colony for-mation was calculated. In addition,Wright/Giemsa and Hoechst33258/PI staining assay were used to observe the change of cytomor-phology. RESULTS:MTT showed that C6 and C7 had inhibitory effect on the proliferation of SGC7901 to different extent;inhibi-tory rates were 22.1%-80.0% and 19.6%-79.7%,and IC50 were 16.4,18.05 μg/ml,respectively. Compared with blank control group, colony formation rate of C6 and C7 group decreased, with statistical significance(P<0.05). The number of apoptotic cells was more in treatment group than in other groups. CONCLUSIONS:Flow components C6 and C7 in n-butyl alcohol extract from the leaves of CN can inhibit the proliferation of SGC7901 cells and induce the apoptosis of them.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVETo study the effect of Panax notoginseng saponins (PNS) on expression of alpha-aecretase mRNA in the brains of senescence-accelerated SAMP8 mice.

METHODSAMP8 mice were randomly divided into the control group, the PNS high-dosage group (200 mg x kg(-1)), the PNS low-dosage group (100 mg x kg(-1)) and the huperzine A group (0.3 mg x kg(-1)), with eight mice in each group. The control group and each administration group were orally administered with the same volume of double distilled water once for consecutively two months. The expression of alpha-secretase (ADAM 9, ADAM10, ADAM17) mRNA was assayed by real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (Real-time PCR).

RESULTThe expression of ADAM9 mRNA in PNS high-dosage group and huperzine A group were significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). The expression of ADAM10 in the PNS high-dosage group, the PNS low-dosage group and the huperzine A group showed no significant difference from the control group.

CONCLUSIONPNS can up-regulate expressions of ADAM9 mRNA and down-regulate expressions of ADAM10 mRNA in the brains of SAMP8 mice.
